Global Trade Compliance Verification
The Global Trade Compliance module helps our customers avoid hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential penalties for U.S. export violations. It enables customers to automatically deny downloads to parties who appear on the restricted or denied entities lists maintained by the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Allowing such a party (typically a representative of terrorist organization or embargoed country) to receive software can result in penalties of $250,000 per violation or twice the value of the transaction (whichever is greater).
Market2Lead is the only marketing automation software product that automatically screens prospective customers against the BIS restricted and denied entities lists. Deploying the Global Trade Compliance module can also be an important step in implementing an effective export compliance program.
When a prospect completes a web form presented by Market2Lead, the Global Trade Compliance module (if enabled) checks the web form responses in real time against a constantly updated denial database. The Global Trade Compliance feature examines up to 15 combinations of form responses, including name, company name and country responses. If it finds a match, it sends the prospect to a special Web page that provides the prospect with a generic denial message. The Global Trade Compliance feature simultaneously notifies program managers, legal teams, etc. (configurable by the user) of the denial so that its specifics can be reviewed manually. The feature also generates reports that enable companies to demonstrate to government officials the effectiveness of their export compliance programs.
